The Mouza and Plot Based National Digital Land Zoning Project addresses the pressing need for efficient land management in Bangladesh amidst growing urbanization and infrastructure development. Implemented by the Ministry of Land from November 2020 to December 2024, the project aims to digitize and georeferenced 1,38,412 Mouza map sheets nationwide. This initiative aligns with the National Land Use Policy 2001, Agricultural Land and Land Use Act 2010, Seventh Five Year Plan (2016-2020), and the SDGs and Delta Plan 2100. With land under pressure from urban expansion and industrialization, this project seeks to optimize land use while preserving agricultural and environmental integrity. The primary goal is to establish a planned, efficient, and sustainable land zoning system to guide government policy, regulate land use, and balance economic, social, and environmental needs. The project focuses on preparing detailed digital maps, compiling mouza and plot-based data, and ensuring quality
