The PARTNER program is designed to support the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) strategic priorities for agricultural transformation as outlined in the National Agricultural Policy (NAP) 2018, the Plan of Action (PoA) 2020, the 8th Five-Year Plan (8FYP, 2021-2025), and the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100. With agriculture contributing 15% to GDP in 2017 and employing 41% of the population in 2015-16, the program focuses on transitioning the sector toward a more productive, market-oriented, and climate-resilient system. Key priorities include diversification, commercialization, mechanization, and adopting Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices to enhance sustainability and resilience.
