RAJUK’s jurisdiction extends beyond the administrative boundaries of the Dhaka City corporations to adjoining city corporations and municipalities. Among its responsibilities, the Building Construction Rules (2008) provide authority to RAJUK to enforce the national building code in addition to the Construction Rules themselves. Under this broad mandate, RAJUK plays an important role in Oversight the development of Greater Dhaka and impacting the, its urban resilience outcome either positively or negatively. In particular RAJUK has jurisdiction over legal development enforcement instruments such as zoning ordinances, development control provisions, and building codes and construction rules implementation. Currently, RAJUK and other relevant national institutions have not developed a comprehensive understanding of the vulnerability of critical and essential facilities such as hospitals, schools, emergency operation centers, public safety facilities, key public buildings, food distributi
