The University Master Plan guides development of new and/or renovated facilities to primarily address academic, teachers, staff and student life needs, as well as advancing other related institutional goals and objectives. The Rajshahi University campus serves over 32,200 full-time students with approximately 3928 full-time employees. Of this number, 1230 are faculty members providing direct educational instruction and services to both undergraduate and graduate students. To develop an effective Master Plan, proper utilization of land, development of spatial planning zones, development of space for academic and research facilities, development of teaching, staff and student’s residential facility, development of circulation and movement, development of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), development of drainage network, campus beautification and conservation will be considered as major objectives of the proposed Master Plan.
