Rural land uses and landscape in Bangladesh have been changing very fast for the last few decades. It is pressing need to take proper steps for protecting the villages from unplanned conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural purposes, controlling haphazard development and preserving the natural habitats and resources. At the same time, it also important to extend the quality education, health care and job opportunity to enhance the living standard in rural areas. Under this project LGED has taken initiative to prepare Upazila Development Plan targeting to accomplish the Vision 2041, goals of SDG, targets of Eighth Five Year Plan and commitments election manifesto of present government.
