A 4-day long training workshop was organized by Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority -BEZA; World Bank and Sheltech Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. from 14-17 January at the BEZA office and InterContinental Dhaka. Training was conducted by Ms. Deborah S. Porte, International Development Specialist from the World Bank. The workshop focused on the ongoing Master Plan of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar at Mirsarai, Chattogram. Ms. Porte has guided the team into understanding the context, preparing the structure plan, land use plan, planning principles, urban design guidelines etc. Project Director of Capacity Development of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority Project Mr. SM Nurul Alam and the BEZA team was present in this training. The Consultant team of Sheltech Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. and STUP Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. was also present in the training.
