The major objective of this project was to update and prepare new Structure Plan, Master Plan and Detailed Area Plan for Khulna City. In other words, the task was to provide Integrated Infrastructure Planning and Programming (IIPP) for a long term investment plan in order to fill up the gap between the situation of no plan and no action program at local levels and resource based long range master plans of town prepared by city level town planning authorities. The study proposed a methodology for development of integrated infrastructure planning and programming which are inclusive of strategic plan of Khulna for 20 years, structure plan for KDA metropolitan area for 10 years and statutory master plan with detailed area plan including Multi Sectoral Investment Program (MSIP).
