Improved sanitation project is a technical assistance component of Dhaka Fourth Water Supply Project. This is the project to prepare a comprehensive plan to address the sanitation and sewerage problems of the Dhaka Metropolitan City. The scope of work envisaged for the collection, disposal of excreta and waste water from domestic, commercial and industrial services along with the abatement of environmental protection from such wastes. The study comprised of two parts: i) Comprehensive evaluation of current problem including a protection of demand covering period 1995-2010 and ii) Identification of a agreed component for which detailed design and bidding documents are documented.
