The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport is promoting a package-type infrastructure export strategy project in order not only to establish a specialized engineering technical service for infrastructure projects, such as city development, traffic system or water supply projects, in developing countries, but also to ensure that Korean companies will be involved in the follow-up projects. The export of package-type infrastructure is a project type that involves the awarding of contracts for soft infrastructure such as master plan as well as hard infrastructure, and it originates from government-level development cooperation between the Korean government and a beneficiary government.
